A little bit about me.

Hello! I'm Scott McDaniel, a passionate Full Stack Developer on a creative journey. Over the past year and a half, I've honed my skills in Javascript, HTML, CSS, Typescript, and frameworks like React, Node.js, and Three.js. Through hands-on projects, I've applied these skills to build multiple projects, including creating a clone of Dalle-E, making my own version of the classic game Asteroids, and a Weather App that tells you the weather wherever you search. My background in the restaurant industry for over a decade taught me invaluable skills: interacting with diverse clients, crafting efficient solutions, and fostering effective communication across all levels. Achieving nationally recognized titles like the 'Steak Master' and multiple 'Employee of the Quarter' awards showcase my dedication to excellence. Beyond coding, I enjoy composing music, mastering the guitar, and setting mental and physical challenges for myself. I'm eager to join a company that values innovation and growth, where my blend of technical expertise and interpersonal skills where I can contribute meaningfully.

Asteroid's Game

A project using Two.js, HTML Canvas, and Tailwind CSS to create my take on the classic game Asteroids. I also composed the music for this project.

Open AI Dall-E clone

This project is a clone of DALL-E. It is a MERN stack application using Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, React.js, and more. (server is slow give it a minute to properly load the image wall)

Weather Search

An application where you can search for the weather of a specific city. It uses API to pull not only the weather but the background image of the website to wherever you search.

Math Game

One of my first projects! This uses javascript to play a game where you have to solve equations, based on your selection, within the timelimit.

Movie Finder

Another one of my earlier projects to showcase. It uses create react app and an api to pull information about a movie.
